Cut/copy and paste functionality

The page content cut / copy and paste functionality allows you to perform several different tasks:

• Reuse content elements on multiple pages.
• Moving content elements from one page to another.
• Reordering content elements inside a page.

You can cut/copy and paste content elements by following these steps:

1. In the modules menu click the 'Page' module link located in the 'Content' section.
2. In the site tree click the title of the page you wish to cut / copy content from.
3. The page content editing interface should now be displayed in the content editing window.
4. In the toolbar located above each content element, you will see a number of icons. You can cut or copy an element by clicking its 'Cut' or 'Copy' icon in the toolbar. This is the scissor icon.
5. Once you have clicked the 'Cut' or 'Copy' icon the page will reload and you will notice that new 'Paste' icons have appeared on the page. These appear on the left-hand side and the icon is an image of a clipboard with a green down arrow.
6. You can now paste the element you cut or copied by clicking the 'Paste' icon in the desired location. 
7. If you wish to copy a content element, select the clipboard icon. This will not remove the content element from its position but copy it.

It is also possible to paste elements from one page to another. Once you have cut or copied an element it will remain in your clipboard until you have pasted it.
