Converting page elements

It is possible to convert a content element from one type to another. For example, you can create a ‘regular text’ content element and later convert it into a ‘text with image’ content element without losing any of your data.

This can be achieved by following these steps:

1. In the modules menu click the 'Page' module link located in the 'Content' section.
2. In the site tree click the title of the page containing the content element you wish to edit.
3. You should now see the page-editing interface appear in the content editing window. 
4. Click the ‘Edit element’ icon associated with the content element you wish to change.
5. The content editing form should now appear in the content editing window.
6. Within ‘General’ under ‘Type’ there is a dropdown menu.
7. Within ‘Type’ select the content element you wish to convert to. 
8. When prompted to ‘Save now in order to refresh the display’ click ‘OK’. 
9. Once you have finished editing the content editing form click the ‘Save’ or ‘Save and close’ button in the toolbar.
